Building a Sustainable Future
We strive to source 100% of our paper from U.S. Certified FSC paper mills to ensure that trees used for our paper are grown on private lands, where 5 trees are planted for every one that is cut down. In the United States, we are fortunate enough to take advantage of sound forest management practices alongside a strong recycling program. We don't necessarily need to stop buying paper or stop printing to "go green", but we need to be aware of our consumption—choose Prodigy.
"Claims like "go paperless and save trees" create false impressions that forest areas are finite resource being destroyed. In truth, North American timberland is a renewable resource that is continuously replenished using sustainable forest management. Each year forests in the U.S. grow significantly more wood than is harvested"

"Each year forest in the U.S. grow significantly more wood than is harvested. Most pulpwood harvested in the U.S.(89%) comes from private land. The income landowners receive for trees grown on their land encourages them to maintain, sustainable manage, and renew this valuable resource."

"If the cloud were a country and if we compared it with the electricity demand of countries in the same year, the cloud would rank 6th in the world, with demand expected to increase 63% by 2020"
